The weekend of fun named events: ROW Gone Bad, Yachtapalooza, & Erg-a-thon!

Saturday morning over 60 athletes filled Rowfit Chicago for a workout called “ROW GONE BAD”. Veteran Crossfitters, newbies and everyone in between made the event a huge success. Many thanks to Rowfit for their generous support of ROW! Lots of sweating- lots of cancer ass kicking-and a TON of smiling faces. If you’d like to purchase pictures from the event, check them out here!

After ROW GONE BAD kicked my butt I headed over to Crowley’s Yacht Yard for Yachtapalooza-a boat expo and seminar that gets Chicago’s boat fan’s ready for the big season. Mark Carroll, the Row4ROW Boat & Logistics Captain and I spent the afternoon meeting boaters and introducing them to Row4ROW. We had a great time meeting so many curious sailors, kids, and boating enthusiasts. I look forward to seeing many of you on the lake this summer!

Sunday I drove to Milwaukee with ROW member Kelly to meet with the Marquette Crew team. They are hosting a 26 hour ERG-A-THON on April 11 to raise funds for their program and the ROW program (50% of the donations go to ROW!).  Kelly and I got to meet the team-a great group of rowers and college kids that want to help us kick cancer’s ass.

Please make your way to their site to cheer them on-and if you live in Milwaukee, check them out on the Marquette campus rowing through the night April 11!

Thank you for your continued support of ROW and this trip. If you’d like to sponsor a mile of my adventure, take a look here to donate $100 in support of an amazing cause and effort.
